Arlene F. Clark is a native of Germantown, Philadelphia, Pa.
She was confirmed at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. She attended Fulton Elementary, Roosevelt Jr.
High, and Germantown High School. She attended LaSalle College, majoring in Abnormal Psychology,
and minor in Sociology. She was employed by US Government/ DOJ; she took a sabbatical to work for
the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. She belonged to “LeFemmee #15”, a Black Professional
Women’s Social Club. She organized and founded Fredrica Chapter #1028 in Philadelphia, PA. as Worthy
Matron.
Arlene F. Clark (Williams) located to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. In her spare time she volunteered to assist the
literary reading program. She was reinstated with US Gov/ DOJ office. She joined Ruth Chapter in
Miami, Florida: later becoming the chapter secretary. Brother Alton Spencer, the Grand Master of the
State of Florida, asked to form Genesis Chapter as the worthy Matron in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. At a later
date she organized and formed Stars of Genesis chapter as Worthy Matron and as Past Matron. She was
elevated to all the Higher Houses. She was given the Roberta Spencer award of Excellence. The Alton
Lloyd Spencer, state award. She was voted as Grand Commandress of Infinity Grand Isis Court in 1999.
She was granted Esarhaddon Supreme Award. In her honor The Sam Clark Williams Award is given in
March of each year at her state session. She move on to Rose of Sharon in Miami and later became
chapter secretary. She is a Life Member and as of the date a member of Rose of Sharon.
Sister Betty Cooper serves as Conductress for Sonja 601-A. She is dedicated to her family, Church, and Chapter. Sis. Cooper is the primary caregiver for her mother. She serves as President of Usher Board # 1 at Zion Orthodox Primitive Baptist Church in Cocoa, Florida. Sister Cooper has persevered throughout her illness and gives her all whenever asked and I am proud to have her as my Sister.
Sis. Lola Bowman has been a Star for over 40 years. She founded Stars of Love # 530 29 years ago where she
served as the Matron for 18 consecutive years. And now serving as a past
Matron of her chapter. She is a beautiful bright loving woman spreading her
love and letting her light shine. Motto: Love One Another.
Sis. Doris Johnson is a Life Member of Sonja Chapter 601-A. She has held the position of Secretary and Treasurer in the Chapter. Sis. Johnson has taught Church School for many years and is a member of the Matron Society at Zion Orthodox Primitive Baptist Church in Cocoa, Florida. She loves helping those in need and is a stickler for doing things right the first time. Although having health issues the past few years, she has remained dedicated to her Chapter. She keeps smiling in spite of any obstacles that may come her way.
Sis. Carrie R. Washington was born on January 1, 1949. She is married to Bro. Cleaster Washington for 54 glorious years. She reared 2 beautiful children. Sis Washington is a life member of Modern Free Inc. She was a Grand Secretary for Bright Morning Star Grand Chapter for little over 20 years. She loved what she did for BMS Grand Chapter and misses it dearly. Her favorite color is green and her favorite football team is the Pittsburg Steelers. Sis Washington is truly the epitome of what a shining star.
