Duties

To observe the proceedings of the Grand Chapter and to ensure a faithful record is kept. To receive all money paid to the Grand Chapter and pay the same to the Grand Treasurer.

Importance of Timely Reports

It is necessary that we understand the importance of maintaining and submitting timely reports as a means of providing accurate information.

Secretary Helpful Hints for Success

Have a good eye for detail;
Be well organized;
Deal promptly with correspondence;
Take accurate notes of meetings;
Ensure members receive all the necessary information;
Bring the necessary material(s) to all meetings;
Work side by side with the Worthy Matron;
Have knowledge of procedures;

How To Complete The Financial Monthly Report

Make sure members on the roll names are legible;
Complete column A (payment to Supreme);
If members are in the arreage mark correct column;
Complete column B (Supreme D&D due by January 31st - $12.00 for regular and life members);
Complete column C (BMS monthly dues - $2.00 for regular members, $1.00 for life members, $1.50 for honorary members);
Complete column D (SGC-OES dues - $6.00 due by March 31st);
If no payments are made for a column please mark each column - PA or $0.00
